Eating in the Borgo means meeting the finest food traditions of Romagna: plenty of fish, but also meat dishes, with piadina as the queen of the table.

There is no shortage of places for gourmet aperitivi, street food, small delicatessens and venues serving organic and locally sourced produce.
To try several venues in a single evening there are two dedicated events: the roaming dinner BorgoVagando and the food and wine event Passaggi di Vino.

Retroborgo works with the day's catch: the menu changes daily according to what comes in from the market.
La Marianna also serves excellent traditional Romagna fish dishes made with fresh Adriatic produce.
In the Borgo the place for piadina is Nud e Crud, at Viale Tiberio 27/29: filled piadine and other Romagna specialities in a modern setting. Opening hours and contact details are in the card above.
On summer weekends and during trade fairs, booking is strongly advised, especially at the busiest restaurants such as La Esse Romagnola, Retroborgo, La Marianna and Osteria de Borg.
On weekdays and out of season there is usually no trouble finding a table.
They are all good, and each has its own character. Some put on nights with music, others are simply loved for the warmth of the people who run them. Take a walk, have a look around, and then decide.
