What the Festa de' Borg is
Borgo San Giuliano comes alive as you have never seen it. An open-air event, genuine and joyful: in every lane, on every corner, along every street you will find music, dancing, shows, food, wine, beer and no end of fun.
It is not a trade fair and not a village festival: it is the Festa de' Borg. No other event involves Rimini and its people like this one. The whole community, residents and businesses alike, takes part, thanks to the enormous organisational and creative energy of the Società de Borg and everyone who works with them.

The 2026 poster
The poster was painted by Filippo Manfroni, an artist from Rimini who had already worked with the Borgo on the Rex mural in 2012. The image draws on the original posters advertising the Wild West Show in 1906, traces of which were found in photographs at the Buffalo Bill Museum and Grave in Denver, Colorado.

Today the festival is a chance to keep alive the memory of a quarter that is resilient, cheerful and close-knit, whose community still feels a strong bond with the place where it grew up and is always glad to share it with anyone who comes to visit.

FAQ: Questions about the Festa de' Borg 2026
The Festa de' Borg 2026, the "Return of Buffalo Bill" edition, runs on Friday 4, Saturday 5 and Sunday 6 September 2026, on the first weekend of September as tradition dictates.
Events start in the afternoon and carry on until late at night. Sunday evening closes with the final firework display in Piazza sull’Acqua, from 11:30 pm.
Yes, entry to the Festa de' Borg is completely free: shows, concerts and exhibitions are all open to everyone at no charge.
Food, drink and lottery tickets are of course paid for at the stalls and in the venues of the quarter.
Parking right by the quarter is very limited during the festival. The organisers recommend coming by bike or on foot.
Otherwise you can use the car parks in Rimini's old town (about 10 minutes on foot across the Tiberius Bridge) or the railway station car park.
Absolutely. The Festa de' Borg is an event for all ages, with the genuine, family atmosphere typical of Romagna.
The Buffalo Bill theme, with the equestrian show "Takoda – the horse thief" and the themed areas devoted to the continents, is especially appealing for younger visitors.
Because in 1906, exactly 120 years ago, the caravan of Buffalo Bill's Wild West Show really did stop in Rimini: a landmark event with 700 people and 500 horses that brought a world nobody here had seen before.
The festival takes that episode as a starting point to tell the story of Rimini and its people, to reflect on what a frontier means, and to "bring the world to our house".
The first prize is an OMODA 5 SUV, donated by the Ruggeri dealership in Rimini. There are 18 prizes in all, with a prize pool of over 30,000 euro.
Tickets cost €2.50 and the draw takes place on Monday 7 September 2026 at 9:00 pm at the Cinema Tiberio.
