Staying by the Sea in Rimini

If there is nothing available in the Borgo, or if you would rather stay near the beach, the closest and most appealing areas to look for a hotel are:

San Giuliano Mare

About 10 minutes on foot from the Borgo. It takes in the Marina di Rimini dock and the canal harbour.

Marina Centro

About 20 minutes on foot. A lively area full of shops and fashionable bars.

Both areas offer a range of places to stay and hotels in every category, letting you combine a relaxing beach holiday with the charm of the old town.

B&B in the Borgo

FAQ: Staying in the Borgo

It depends on what matters most to you. The Borgo offers a unique, authentic experience, surrounded by history and the Fellini murals, ideal if you want peace and character.

If you would rather have the beach on your doorstep and a livelier setting, San Giuliano Mare or Marina Centro are excellent alternatives, and still close to the Borgo.

The B&Bs in the Borgo are generally open all year round, unlike the hotels on the coast, which often close in low season.

It is still worth checking directly with the property, especially for stays outside the summer months.

Parking in the Borgo is very limited. The narrow lanes and small squares are not open to cars.

Some B&Bs have arrangements with nearby car parks. Otherwise you can use the public car parks in Rimini's old town, a few minutes away on foot across the Tiberius Bridge.

The nearest beach (San Giuliano Mare) is about 10 to 15 minutes on foot from the Borgo, along the canal harbour.

Marina Centro, Rimini's liveliest seaside area, is about 20 to 25 minutes on foot, or a few minutes by bike.
